Har opsat en win 2000 pro Den kan se den andre maskiner, men jeg kan ikke logge på den selvom jeg har delt 2 af partionerne? Hvad er der galt?

also, if your win2k is NTFS format then you will not be able to view the NTFS drives from win98 or ME

I made the drives with NTFS because they toold me it was the best. The PC require a password and I dont know where I can give it? I shared the partion to Network and all users but with no help...

the rule of thumb is that win98 or win ME can not read from NTFS I agree with that that NTFS is the best when having security in mind! try the guest account issue

\\\\ASUS\\IPC$ is the message I get for the required password. Win2000 is on a partion with FAT32..

then on the PC you are trying to logon too, go to users and computers and enable the guest account. or create a new account which you will use from the PC who wishes to logon

Yes, I have acces to all the others and they can see the new one. But it require a password with the message i wrothe before.

ok. try to make a little \"work around\" make the same user name and password on both PC\'s and try again. also... make sure you only use TCP/IP

I\'m not running the machine as a server only as a workstation. But as you can see I can connect to it, but like to disable this accept again and try as another one.
