installation låser i sims

Min datter har the Simsog programmet låser nøjagtigt samme sted under installation, når 69% er gennemført stopper CD´en og intet sker.
Har været inde på EA´s hjemmeside: http://thesims.ea.com/us/index.html

og der skriver at jeg skal slå DMA fra på cd-drevet under enhedshåndtering læs:

Try installing again. If it still fails, uncheck "DMA" on the CD-ROM Settings window in the device manger:
- Right-click "My Computer" and select "Properties"
- Choose the "Device Manager" tab
- Click the "+" next to CD ROM
Double-click on the CD-ROM device
- Pick the "Settings" tab and uncheck "DMA"
- Hit "Apply", then "Close"
- Close the System Properties window, restart Windows, and install the game again.

Der er bare lige den hage ved det at jeg ikke kan finde en dma-checkbox under XP??
