what i need explained is how to avoid that Access 2002 shows the message:
(memorized translation)
the database you're trying to start is located on the intranet or web, which is not trusted....
(something like that)

I cant say I have ever seen this message you mention here. Is the database on a web server? Can you give some information on your setup? Where is the front-end and backend databases?

My back-end is a SQL Server and my Front-end is an MSAccess Project. the error occours when i try to launch a project placed on a network drive, Access 2002 then shows the messagebox File Download, "Some files can harm your computer. If the file information below looks suspicious, or you do not fully trust the source, do not open or save this file.

This error has as far as I know NOTHING to do with Access! I work with MSSQL Server and Access Projects where the db's (ADP,ADE) are on a network drive and I (we) do not get this error.
Are you sure that Access is installed on the client PC's? This is necessary!

Terry, I known that it is possible. I too uses ADP/ADE on network drives, but my problem is I can't remember how i got it to work...
