To create the bootable floppy disk using Norton Ghost 2002 or 2003
1: On the Windows taskbar, click Start > Programs > Norton Ghost (2002 or 2003) > Norton Ghost.
2: In the Norton Ghost window, in the left pane, click Ghost Utilities.
3: In the right pane, click Norton Ghost Boot Wizard.
4: In the Norton Ghost Boot Wizard window, click Standard Ghost Boot Disk.
5: Click Next.
6: In the Additional Services window, choose one of the following options:
- To create a simple DOS system disk with Ghost files, click Next.
- To create a DOS system disk with Ghost files that supports USB, LPT, SCSI CD/DVD, or Firewire connections, select the appropriate option(s). Note that many IDE CD-R/RW devices require SCSI drivers. If Ghost does not display your CD-R/RW device when you run Ghost from this bootable floppy disk, recreate the bootable floppy disk and check the option "Include Adaptec SCSI drivers."
7: Click Next after making all your selections.
8: In the DOS Version window, select "Use PC-DOS" (default) or "Use MS-DOS" (MS-DOS bootable disk is required).
9: In the Ghost executable location window, verify or type the following options:
a: In Program Location, verify that the path to Ghost.exe is correct.
b:Type the Ghost Parameters you want to use. For more information on Ghost Switches, read the document Switches: Alphabetical list of switches.
10: Click Next.
11: In the Destination Drive window, insert a floppy disk into the disk drive and do the following:
a:Select the drive letter for the floppy disk drive.
b: Select or type the number of DOS system disks that you want Ghost Boot Wizard to create.
c: Check Format disks.
d: Check Quick Format.
12: Click Next.
13: In the Review window, verify the information you selected.
14: Click Next.
15: In the Format window, verify the following:
a: Capacity is displayed as "3.5", 1.44MB, 512 bytes/sector".
b: File system is displayed as FAT.
c: Check Quick Format.
16: Click Start.
17: Click OK when the Warning screen appears.
18: Click Close when the Format window reappears.
19: Ghost will copy the necessary boot and Ghost files to the floppy disk.
20: In the Finished window, click Start Again if you want to create another floppy disk, otherwise click Finish.
