Access og VB uden Office installation?
Hej Blot et hurtigt spoergsmaal
Kan jeg linke til en Access database og bruge de mest grundlaeggende ADO kommandoer fra Visual Basic 6.0 og koere det kompilede program (inklusiv mdb'en) uden at Access er installeret paa en maskine? (win XP)
Jeg mener at have laest at de grindlaeggende ADO-funktioner vil virke selv uden installation, men er ikke helt 100% sikker.
You dont actually LINK to the Access database you make a connection. Without Access/Office installed you have access to tables and queries, not forms etc. If you have access installed you can automate access and open reports etc. You will need a reference to ADO so if it isnt installed you can down MDAC from microsoft
thanks overchord, its nice to be back, and as long as things go smoothly I'll be around once in a while. But if I get the same hassle as before, then I'm afraid I'll be gone for good. Hopefully it wont turn out that way.
