Med voksende trusler, nye EU-krav og øget kompleksitet er cybersikkerhed nu en central ledelsesopgave på linje med strategi og økonomi.

Take a look /etc/fstab if you can se a line like "/dev/fd0 /xx/floppy " the "xx" is the mountpoint. Mount the floppy from shell, use the command mount /dev/fd0 /mountpoint/floppy -> Enter or rightclick on the desktop (KDE)-> new -> floppy unit
I added the line you said and got an extra floppy icon on the desktop. But I can not read any floppys from it.
I just get this error message, see next coomment since I can not write a "tilde"-sign from this linux.
How ever this is a clip from my output from dmesg: 0000:00:0a.0: 3Com PCI 3c905C Tornado at 0xd000. Vers LK1.1.19 inserting floppy driver for 2.6.8.1-12mdk Floppy drive(s): fd0 is 1.44M FDC 0 is a post-1991 82077 NET: Registered protocol family 17
Btw Is it common to do all this to use the floppy in Linux? It would be more easy if it worked from the begining.

I guess you are as surprised as me that I do not get delete as an option!
Same at the samba-mount-points Fredrik

Now I may give up, I have several computers with Linux (SuSE and Red Hat) from KDE 3 and above I got a menu like http://www.helgec.dk/floppy_menu.jpg. a possible solution for you could be to take contakt to http://www.linuxin.dk , most users in that forum are Mandrake users, if you got a solution I will be happy if you will inform me
Best regards

I suppose you still have a folder in /mnt called floppy, if not then make one, delete the line you add to /etc/fstab 13/07-2005 11:45:26 (/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto, user 0 0) add this line to /etc/fstab /dev/fd0 /media/floppy subfs noauto,fs=floppyfss, procuid, nodev, nosuid, sync 0 0 remember to save click with right mousebutton on your floppy ikon - select properties - use dropdown menu and select the line with fd0

ATTENTION ATTENTION !!!!
add this line /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy subfs noauto,fs=floppyfss,procuid,nodev,nosuid,sync 0 0
Hello! I removed all lines for mount-points that I did not wanted from fstab: /dev/hda1 / ext3 defaults 1 1 /dev/hda6 /home ext3 defaults 1 2 //stationary/FREDRIKSHARE /mnt/SHARE smbfs user,username=% 0 0 /dev/hdc /mnt/cdrom auto umask=0,user,iocharset=iso8859-1,codepage=850,noauto,ro,exec,users 0 0 /dev/hdd /mnt/cdrom2 auto umask=0,user,iocharset=iso8859-1,codepage=850,noauto,ro,exec,users 0 0 none /proc proc defaults 0 0 none /tmp tmpfs defaults 0 0 /dev/hda5 swap swap defaults 0 0 /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy subfs noauto,fs=floppyfss,procuid,nodev,nosuid,sync 0 0
That removed all crap on the desktop, feels much better. But I still have them i /mnt -folder even though I deleted them from that folder and restarted.
Now the problem looks that only root is able to mount the floppy. Is it possible to let the user "fredrik" be able to mount it?
Best regards Fredrik
