Kan jeg ikke få til at virke

giver det ikke noget som altid er 8 langt ?

Hvis det er en talstreng og der skal foranstilles nuller kan du bruge

nystr = Format(glstr,"000000#")

Er det tegn kan du sætte blanktegn foran således.

nystr = right(space(8) & glstr),8)

hmm, ja. Er det muligt at teste på strengens længde. F.eks. få at vide at den består af 8 tegn
