Hvorfor vil menu ikke i frameset ?

Jeg har forsøgt at sætte: target=\"main\"
ind i de link som er i menuen men den vil bare ikke.
Alt dukker op i menu-framet
Er det muligt at få hjælp eller måske bare få at vide at menuen ikke kan bruges i frameset :)
