Autostart af CD

Jeg har i Powerpoint lavet en billedserie som jeg gerne vil have lagt på en CD, således at den autostarter når cd lægges i.
Er det muligt? Eller skal det oprettes i et andet program og da hvilket?

Q. I’m really excited about the business possibilities for my new CD burner. I make presentations to small groups and would like to know how I can make an “automatic” Power Point presentation that is run from my CD.

Actually, the process is almost the same as creating an “autostart” for your CD. There are some additional issues to consider, however. First, you’ll need to begin an “autostart.inf” file with a few differences:

[autorun] note: no other info on this line

[open=C:\Program Files\PowerPoint\pp.exe] (or wherever your Power Point EXE file is located)

There is a “run time” version of Power Point. If you copy this to your CD, just include this line:

[open=pp.exe] or whatever the runtime file’s name is. Then you will not need to “point” your “open=” line to the Power Point program on your hard drive. The same is true for many other programs. The “run time” program will only run the presentation. It will not allow any changes, editing, etc. Also note that if you use this CD on another system, the other computer may very well have the Power Point program in a different location.

Så er det vel bare at give den stien til .ppt filen som en parameter:
[open=C:\Program Files\PowerPoint\pp.exe D:\filnavn.ppt]

Eller måske

What's the easiest way to make a "autorun" Powerpoint show on CD?
If you *know for sure* that each person who will be viewing the Powerpoint show has the Powerpoint program or viewer installed, or that they are willing to install the viewer first from the CD you provide, then it is simply a matter of copying your presentation file(s), sub-directories and the PPTviewer and "autorun.inf" file from your "staging" directory (described later) to your CD-R. The "autorun.inf" should contain the following text: (you can use "Notepad" to make this file)

[autorun]
open=PPVIEW32.EXE show\present.lst
icon=PPVIEW32.EXE

Then make a text file called "present.lst" (as in lower case ."L" st) that contains:

your_presentation.ppt

If you have externally linked pictures, it may be necessary to install a tool called "FixLinks". This plugin can be found here. Otherwise, if your directory structure is not perfectly recreated on the CD, your links will "break" and it will be too late to do anything about it! Also make sure you have embedded the True-Type fonts into the presentation.

I recommend copying all needed files and directories to a "staging" directory on your hard disk. Test your presentation first from the staging directory before burning the CD. If links are broken fix with this plugin from RnR PPTools.

\staging
autorun.inf
\show
present.lst
any_linked.files
your_presentation.ppt (pps)
\viewer
PPView97.exe
Then burn the *contents* of your staging folder to the CD-R in one session and close the disk. That's it! Simple eh? Well, it's a good idea to practice with a CR-RW re-recordable disk, just to be safe.
