ikke en skrivebeskyttelsesfejl, men fordi sql'en ikke var unik nok i henhold til index på tabellen

cant see the actual SQL so its hard to say what the problem is!
If its because of a duplicate key then you would see this in the error and you dont, so I doubt that it is that!

Try alter docmd runsql sql

to

DoCmd.RunSQL sql
and if thats not th eproblem the can we see the code between DIM and DoCmd ?
