American Record Industri drops the Idea of a Trial
The illegal music industri on the Internet is growing rapidly. Large websites offers private Internet users to download the most recently released music from theire website. By having thousands of users every day, the websites is earning huge sums.
The American record industri took court action against four American Internet offers, because they were gave acces, like all other Internet offers to eg. the pirate website
www.listen4ever.com. The American record industri wanted to stop all Internet traffic around the website and to clarify if the internet offers had responsibility for the contents of what there was lying on their servers.
But before the record industri got to sue the illegal Chinese website, the page closed and disappeared from the Internet.
The opinion of the record association was that, now the website was gone there were no reason to lead a trial in opposition to
www.listen4ever.com.The record labels wanted to continue the trial in case
www.listen4ever.com should open again.
Almost all over the world, the Internet offers has the common attitude that it is not them, who is responible for the data on the Internet. I would be an inspection completely out of proportions to examine the content of millions of webpages.
The responibility is on the webhosts and of course the owners of the websites.
If the webhosts do not do a vast job, inspecting their data for illegal music, there will continue to pop up pirate websites. And if someone discovers them – the will emediately shut down and open another place.
