Citat: "... come to find out if you boot while pressing the action and the reset button not only do you get a pretty bird but you can use minicom or a terminal imulator to communicate with the IPAQ (serial cradle only), it's a boot section.... I'm not the most technical person in the world but by typing "?" you can get a list of commands at the prompt basically if you have a CF sleeve and a card large enough to hold it you can copy the rom image off of a willing participants IPAQ or your own before performing the Linux install, luckily I had a friend with an IPAQ, by typing "r2c" at the prompt you copy the rom image to cf... totally simple, and then replacing the cf sleeve to the damaged IPAQ, putting it back in the cradle and typing c2r you can restore you IPAQ image.... worked perfectly for me. Not only did I get my OS back, but my friend had just gotten a brand new IPAQ, some of the OS feature are different, mostly cosmetic but I was so happy to have my IPAQ back in one piece."
