Deling af database

I woudlnt say there is a "smart måde" but it can be done by using ASP (programming)

Jeg kunne "nemt" programmere det i asp. Men det ville tahe nogle timer og alligevel ikke give helt den samme funktionalitet.

If you are considering attaching to an Access database (backend) on a web server FROM an Access db (frontend)on your local PC then forget it, you can NOT!

Not nessaceraly a webserver. I just want 2-4 people sharing the same database from 2-4 different places.

IF we are talking about a LAN network then you split the database into two parts, one holding the forms etc. (frontend and the other (backend) holding the tables (data) then the tables from the backend are linked into the front end using and ODBC connection. Each user has their own copy of the frontend and the back end is on a file server on the LAN. This is a typical set-up for multi user applications.

Actaully the tables dont need to be linked using and ODBC connection. You just use the linked table manager to do this.

Would it be possible to use ODBC over the internet if you got a static ip-adress?

You can NOT as far as I know connect to a database over the internet from your local PC. This question HAS been up MANY times!
