How can i get search engines to find my site?

Insert some META tags into your HTML document. Search Engines cannot traverse text in SWF files....

ok thats a good answer, but I guess my question was besides putting in meta tags and loading all my text dynamically are there other ways to make sure my site ends up high on search engine lists?

Sorry, but i don't think so. Besides, loading text dynamically doesn't make any difference... Google also looks at how many other sites link to you, so if you have good connections maybe that's possible. Or maybe post your site in "Site check" on various big forums, that'll give you some links...

COME ON!!!, Why is it, that every time someone asks about search engines, along comes some fool and says META.

IT is 3 years ago that META had any effect, they simply doesn’t work anymore, and haven’t for a good many years.

Flash sites are a challenge to optimize, but Not impossible at all.

The problem is that if you fill in META uncritically, the SE’s will penalize your site for META spamming. The SE’s doesn’t like keywords in meta that are not also found in the text of the page, and flash have no text. So you are in trouble with meta from the start.

This is the trick.

1.    find your important keywords, I have written an article on this subject exclusively
2.    Create flat html pages optimized for each keyword. Again you can read how to do this in an article
3.    Link from these flat HTML pages to ALL your flash pages and from one html page to all the others. The link structure of your site is very important, you can read about this in detail in the articles.
4.    develop your content in these flat html pages. Content is king and the SE look for content.
5.    Look at using the <NOSCRIPT> and <NOEMBET> tags for content on the flash pages and for internal linking.

This is just some of the things you can work on. Come back when this is done and well do some more

If you code these flat pages correctly, that’s what’s called a hall-/doorway page

Hey Bufferzone, Ive been reading up on your articles and they are very helpful. THanks. Im having trouble on the more practical side though. Why is that some pages that put in a <META NAME="description" content="BLAH BLAH."/> get that description (BLAH BLAH) to show under the title in the google list while others don't. Mine for example doesn't. Any clues? (and yes I will be happy to send you some points..)
