Skype/Gaim på Linux (SuSE)

Hi everybody,

I've recently installed SuSE 9.2 on my computer and find having troubles using Skype 1.0 and Gaim (or any similar MSN-client) from home. If I bring my laptop to my university I can log in, but from my college - I know we have a firewall - I can't.

Gaim simply stops it's login process after having sent the password, and Skype is even stranger, as it I can (type)chat with it, but as soon as somebody calls me or I call them it crashes for good.

I tried to turn off the build-in Firewall in SuSE 9.2 completely, but it didin't make any (noticeable) differenses.

I used to run Windows XP and it worked just fine there (I not only tried with MSN-messenger, but also the Gaim-client for Windows).
