Ændre type på en <input>

Hej..

mit problem ligger i at jeg vil på onFocus ændre

type på input fra 'text' til 'password' sådan at der kan stå "kodeord" i value

<kode>
<form id="logindform" name="logindform" method="POST">
    <input type="text" name="brugernavn" id="brugernavn" value="Brugernavn" onfocus="if(this.value=='Brugernavn') {this.value = ''; }" onblur="if(this.value == '') { this.value = 'Brugernavn'; }" />
    <input type="text" name="kodeord" id="kodeord" value="Kodeord" onfocus="if(this.value=='Kodeord') {this.value = ''; this.type='password';}" onblur="if(this.value == '') { this.value = 'Kodeord'; this.type='text'; }" />
    <input type="submit" name="logind" id="logind" value="Log ind" class="button">
</form>
</kode>
