How to use differnet protocol for JMS?

Hello!

I have seen some examples about JMS that uses (what I think is the protocol) t3 and some other that uses mq and some oteh that uses ldap and some other more.

Could any one explain the differens between the protocol.? And what do I need to use an other? I have just mange to use t3.

Best regards
Fredrik

Hello!

Hmmm. I guess it is JMS that use JNDI. Correct me if I you think I'm wrong here?
My JMS does a JNDI lookUp if I'm correct.

JNDI is a general directory lookup (from name to object)

for JNDI lookup you specify a class and a URL

I would expect th eprotocol to be hardcoded in the class and that
the protocol in the URL are just for readability

but JNDI is basicly a standard interface with different implementations

and they use different wire protocols to talk with the directory server
