DHCP FEJLER ved start

Kan det ikke være der skal rettes i konfigurationsfilen, så den også ved opstart ved at den skal lytter på eth0?

ja men hvilken config fil? :S  har pørvet ja næsten alt.. vil jeg selv mene. :D

Dhcpd.conf ser sådan ud.

Prøv at åbne /etc/dhcpd.conf og ændre DHCPDARGS="et-eller-andet" til eth0, hvis det da ikke står der i forevejen...

Skriv DHCPDARGS=eth0 over ddns-update-style ad-hoc;

vil stadig ikke... har os vært inde i /etc/sysconfig/dhcpd

Og skrive DHCPDARGS=eth0 men det hjalp heller ik. :S

Jeg tror problemet er, at du et eller andet sted mangler at angive, at det er på eth0 den skal lytte.

prøv at skrive /usr/sbin/dhcpd eth0 i stedet, der står jo "Command line options here"

ja. det virke den første gang jeg starte den. også stoppe jeg den for at se om det så stadig virke.. også ville den ikke starte igen :S

Jeg tror det er dæmonen (hedder det på dansk?) du mangler at indstille, da det er der man angiver hvilken enhed den skal lytte på-

oki pørver vender tilbage hvis det ikke virker :D

det hedder jo ikke red-hat længer. men Fedora.. Bruger v. 4 ved godt der er kommet en 5'er men kan ikke få den til at boote den :D

Du kan nok godt bruge guiden alligevel, det er jo det samme program

vil lige pørve noget heh. vil prøve at sætte eth1 op som eth0 og eth0 til som eth1 for at se hva den siger til det :D

hvor skal man fx skrive /usr/sbin/dhcpd eth0 hvis man gerne vil have den gør det selv ved opstart? :D

Jeg googlede rundt for at finde løsning på et problem, jeg selv havde, da jeg så din posting. Virker det stadig ikke for dig? (eller bør du vende tilbage og sige at det spiller og hvad der løste det aht. næste person, der har dit problem)I så fald er dit problem følgende:

Du broadcaster på en forkert adresse:

option broadcast-address 10.0.0.255;

Broadcast foregår på sidste adresse i netværket, når du har et subnet på 255.255.0.0 skal du broadcaste på 10.0.255.255 - hvis du ikke har brug for 65534 IP adresser kan du med fordel rette subnet masken til 255.255.255.0, så har du 256, hvilket nok er rigeligt i de fleste tilfælde og din broadcast adresse passer straks meget bedre ;-)

Iøvrigt er DHCPDARGS=eth0 beregnet til at starte DHCPd daemonen op på KUN det netkort, så /usr/sbin/dhcpd eth0 er _ikke_ nødvendigt. Har du to netkort skal du bare gøre op med dig selv om det er eth0 eller eth1, der skal uddele IP adresser. Har du denne form for opsætning skal du desuden oprette et net for det kort, som _ikke_ skal uddele IP adresser og i dette angive deny booting; Eks., hvis du har en ekstern IP, der hedder 1.1.1.1, som ligger på et subnet 255.255.255.0:

subnet 1.1.1.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 {
  deny booting;
}

1.1.1.0 fordi det er her dette network starter.

Dit setup ville jeg sætte op sådan her:
