Get the path your in relative the root path???

Hi!
I have a pretty easy task but a lot of restrictions, maybe you could help me?
Task: I would like know in what directory I\'m in on my Linux webserver?
Problem: The only access I have to the server is ftp-access. But I can put any cind of files on the webserver. The server will execute PHP scripts so if there is a PHP script thar gets the PATH that would solve my problem.

Please send me suggestions!
