Databasen er tom?

hvad indeholder den tomme tabel, (altså inden den er tom?)
Det er muligvis fordi serveren ikke kan håndterer filerne - eller måske er det dit ftp-program.

den \"tomme\"  tabel indeholder en række varer med angivelse navn, pris osv. Der er data i basen når jeg uploader den, men de forsvinder - tabellen er helt tom når jeg dowloader den igen.

Det har virket - men lige pludselig - poof!
jeg kan godt oprette en kategori uden problemer, men opretter jeg en vare - så er basen tom

I find it VERY hard to believe! Once you have database uloaded, what do you do to see that it is empty? Are you trying to read information from the table with ASP?
Try opening the database with FTP and then look at the table in question. Is it Empty?

Jep it is empty, when I reed the information with asp AND when i download it with ftp

I still find it hard to believe! I very much doubt that uploading the database dletes the table, so it can only be one thing in my mind and thats your ASP code that is deleting the table.

If it is correct then I have no explanation as to why, but I would try to locate the problem in this order.

Are you 100% sure that you are downloading the correct dB. Make a copy of the table in you dB BEFORE you upload.
Can you OPON the database with FTP at its uploaded location (not download) and see if the tables exist? Dont do anything with ASP until you have done this. If they exist then it must be ASP that is causing the problem.
If they exist then use some ASP and then see how it looks. Does the copy get emptied too?
