Whats the difference between PHP, ASP, PERL and all the other languages who is ment to be used on the web. I am going to learn one or two, who should I learn? Who are most powerfull, who is easiest, what can I use the different to and so on.
All three of them are serverside scripts-languages. Perl is quite difficult to learn if you don't have as much expirience programming.
ASP, which is based on a simplified version of the Visual Basic languages is easier to learn and is e.g. often used to do calculations and connecting to databases - especially Ms Access.
I don't really know that much about PHP yet, but it is very similar to ASP, although I beleive there is more possibilities in ASP. However, if you learn ASP it doesn't take that long to learn to use PHP.
PHP is also often used when connecting to SQL-server databases, but that's also possible with ASP.
P.S. I belive that you'll get more response here at Eksperten if you write in Danish, although I think most of the active users are also quite comfortable using English ;-)
ok - i de fleste nyhedsgrupper plejer svensk og norsk i hvert fald at gå fint...
En god ASP-bog at starte med "Active Server Pages for Dummies"..
