Filen er ikke skrive beskyttet!!

dbf what format is that?

Are you sure that the file attributes are read/write?

Jeg kan skrive til den fra access XP

are you sure that you have installed the ISAM Driver for DB IV ?

Can you see this in the file list if you try and import it?

In Access 97 the DBase drivers are standard not sure if they are in XP. But if you cant see them in the list then somthing needs installing!

nej jeg er ikke sikker på at det er den rigtige driver.
Men når jeg importer er det muligheden dbaseIV(*.dbf) jeg vælger.

Jeg skal bruge DBF filen i en Access 2000 db men har forsøgt at åbne
den på en anden maskine med XP bare for at se om XP kunne skrive til den.

So you are having problems UPDATING in Access 2000!
I dont know so much about Windows 2000 security but not only mustthe file attributes be read/write but the user must also have read/write permissions on the folder. This is the same in XP if you have chosen the advanced security methods.
I suspect that the problem is because of permissions!

løsningen var at installer jet 4.0 sp,
så det med driver var nok ikke helt forkert du får tak
