NAV 2003 opdateringsproblemer - virus eller

"LiveUpdate could not find an update file on the server. Please run liveUpdate again"

LiveUpdate kunne ikke finde den opdateret fil på deres server.. prøv at kør live update igen

jep I know - anderledes fejl.
Problemet opstod i går da jeg hentede en update. Kørte her update er par gange uden held. Har i dag prøvet 5 gange.
Kan jo selvfølgelig være at symantec har et serverproblem, men jeg tvivler. Deres service plejer at være 100% stabil :(

mhh nu har jeg prøvet alt det der blev foreslået af symantec % ominstallering af Nav - uden held.

prøver lige at installere stinger.....

Ad-aware, Spybot og SpywareGuard har ingen indflydelse på problemet.

To run LiveUpdate and download the latest program updates
Start Norton AntiVirus (NAV). If NAV is installed as part of Norton Internet Security (NIS) or Norton SystemWorks (NSW), then start NIS or NSW.
Click LiveUpdate.
Download all available updates, and restart the computer when prompted.
Start NAV (or NIS or NSW), and then run LiveUpdate again. Download all available updates, and then restart the computer again if prompted.
Repeat steps one though four until you see the message "Thank you for using LiveUpdate. All of the Symantec products and components installed on your computer are currently up-to-date. Remember to check for new updates frequently."

To check your version of NAV 2003
Start NAV. (If NAV is part of Norton Internet Security (NIS) or Norton SystemWorks (NSW), then start NIS or NSW.)
Click Help and About Norton AntiVirus. (If NAV is part of NIS, click About Norton Internet Security and then click the Norton AntiVirus tab. If NAV is part of NSW, then click About Norton SystemWorks and then click the Norton AntiVirus tab.)
Note the version number. If you have version 9.9.06 B or 9.9.06 D then go to "If you have NAV 9.9.06B or 9.9.06D." If you have any other version, then go to "If you have any other version of NAV 2003."

If you have NAV 9.9.06B or 9.9.06D

This version of NAV cannot currently be updated to the latest version of the Common Client program. Symantec is investigating this problem. There is currently no solution. This document will be updated when new information becomes available or a solution is found.

In the mean time, do not install the Common Client update. NAV will continue to fully protect your computer without the update. The update does not effect the functionality of the NAV email, IM, or manual scanner or the Auto-Protect feature of the program.

Så er kræet tjekket med Stinger. Ingen vira - er da altid noget ;)

mhh jeg har version 9.05.15 - kunne da umiddelbart se ud til at denne version måske også har problemet med at hente opdateringen til Common Client Program. Tror jeg sender en mail til Symatec for at få lidt info.

Hvis de så melder tilbage at dette ikke er tilfældet vil jeg ominstallere..

by the by egentlig sødt nok at skrive "In the mean time, do not install the Common Client update" - va så med de "tumper" der har konfigureret Nav til at køre "automatisk live update", Ved ikke med jer - men jeg tænker s... da ikke over det Nav vil hente :(

Susanne, since the version of Norton AntiVirus (NAV) is not 9.9.06B or D, this issue is caused if the product catalog used by LiveUpdate to download the update has been damaged. To resolve this issue, I suggest that you run LiveUpdate and download the patch that was released to fix this issue.

If the issue persists, the best way to fix this issue is to uninstall and reinstall all Symantec files and Symantec shared programs to recreate the product catalog and then run LiveUpdate and download all program updates.
