Internet contains everything: Entertainment, education, shops and many other things!
If people ask if I am an experienced internet user, I will probably give them this answer: ”I don’t know.” The reason I would say this, is because I can’t rate myself. Should I call myself an average internet user, or an oldbie? Or maybe a nerd? They could ask me what I am able to do, and then i could answer.
My experiences with internet varies, but most of my time online is gaming, viewing movies and publishing or uploading.
Gaming, because I like the onlinegames on the internet. I think almost everybody does. Viewing movies: I’m not viewing the kind of movies you watch in cinemas or televisions. I’m viewing Flash movies. Basically that is cartoon movies made with a computer program, called Flash. The reason I view Flash movies is, that I make Flash myself. I think viewing other good Flash movies is a good way to be inspired or learn. And the reason why I publish: I’ve got a website. For that you need to publish. Publish means that you put something out on the internet. In my case it is my Flash movies. I have made Flash since 2001. And my favorite website is www.newgrounds.com. The reason is, that both gaming, viewing movies and publishing is possible on the website. And the site is all about Flash.
My experience with the internet has increased every year. Maybe even every month! I started using internet years ago. I think it was back in 1995. Then in 1998 I created a cartoon creature, called Pudi. I made it with a friend, and we decided to make a homepage with Pudi. In the beginning my father made it for me. Then he tought me how to make homepages. In the beginning it was difficult, but now I think I’ve learned it. If I didn’t created Pudi, I probably wouldn’t use a computer, as much as I do now and have the same experience.
Today i think I’m online up to five ours a day or more! Sometimes it is difficult to look at the clock, so the time just run. Sometimes my mother yells at me, and tell me to have a break.
I also chat alot. For that I use the program, MSN Messenger. I think almost everybody have it nowdays. Or mostly young people. My friends, my father and mother, even my grandmother have it. I chat about everything. From homework to friends. I even about Flash and with other Flash makers. You don’t need much experience to chat. Just write what you want, and that is all. Sometimes it’s easier with chat, for example if you are to different places, and sometimes it’s easier with talking, for example if you can’t write fast with a keyboard. Sometimes you do need experience about chatting. If people use shortening such as ”lol” or ”omg” you have to understand it. ”Lol” means ”laughing out loud”, and ”omg” means ”oh my god”. Sometimes people also use smileys. There are for example: XD, =), 8( and many others. Smileys can explain other persons feelings, but not always. People can add a smiley if they like to, but sometimes it is not the persons real feelings. Sometimes it is confusing.
I think the internet is a good way to learn new things. It can help with many things, for example education. There are online wordbooks, leksika and thousands of informations. Internet is also good if you need to find phonenumbers, adresses, shops and many other things. You can also download things, such as music. That’s the reason I’m online so much of the time.
