Its part of VB6.0 as far as I can make out. If you look at the applies to list in this link it doesnt include Office, only VB 6.0.

One should have expected that from M$ :-)
I wonder how it got on my computer then - I have no VB6 on it. Just Office 2003.

Strange. I dont have VB6 on this computer and it isnt on it.
I have another PC with VB6 on and it is on it.

I'll have another look around and see if I can dig up something else.

On the PC where I do have the date time picker it shows
Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control, version 6.0. This also indicates to me that its from VB6, or at least the version I have is. It uses ocx (mscomct2.ocx) which I cant find on the PC without the control.

According to this MS link mscomct2.ocx is a VB6 control

Does the version you have use this control, if so then I can only guess that its been installed with some other software.

That file is present on my computer and one of the properties says 'Microsoft Common Controls 2 Object Library' and the timestamp is March 14, 2000
This could be VB6 since it is quite old but I can't figure out how it got on my computer.

It looks as though it has been included with Office XP Developer edition but is no longer. There is a link where you can download it. and heres a link to a control which could solve your problem.

Conclusion: I will not use this control at the moment :-)
I will see if I can export my digital signature for VBA and the reinstall this computer with the programs I use and then check if the controls is there. If it is I will use it for a test.

I have seen the 30310 before but I don't use it because of the need to alter it to use Danish terms of date.

Isnt it possible to just include the control and register it on the users PC?

Thanks and a Happy New Year

I have downloaded the control from M$ with a setup.inf so it should be possible.

Have found out where the .ocx came from on my computer - it came from a trial of Installshield I have installed some time ago. It can be included in an installation created by that program using a merge module.
