Jeg har nedtaget den omtalte driverfil 1urc13ww.exe fra en anden pc med netadgang og kørt filen på den pc, der ikke har driver til netværkskortet installeret. Kørslen af filen ser helt normal ud, men kortet har bare stadig det gule spørgsmåltegn som før.
Jeg har hørt, at man på IBM computere skal ind i egenskaber for kortet og så pege på driveren. Det har jeg prøvet, men der findes ikke noget, der kan køres og jeg ved ikke, hvad jeg skal pege på.

Det virker ikke sådan: .exe filen har som sagt lavet et bibliotek, der hedder DRIVERS og under det er der et WIN og under det Ethernet og IBMPM, så det virker egentlig meget rigtig (som min forstand på det rækker)?
Når man har kørt .exe programmet (har lige gjort det igen), skriver den faktisk, at installationen ikke er færdig og henviser til dokumentationen, men det bliver jeg ikke meget klogere af!
jeg har forsøgt at åbne den i wordpad men kun programmeringsprog kommer ud af det. gode råd er dyre, er det et indbygget netkort eller kan du evt. sætte et andet i.?

To check the version of the device driver that is installed on your system, follow the instructions below:

Jeg har ikke kunnet få ovenstående til at virke, men jeg fik et tip fra vores søn om, hvordan man kan bringe det til at virke! Opskriften kommer her:
1/ Find driversiden på www.lenovo.com 2/ Vælg Support -> Download and Drivers 3/ Svar på spørgsmålene i dropdownboksene (se bag på under Type (fx. 2374 - 75G) - Type er 2374 og model er 75G) 4/ Klik Continue 5/ Find Ethernet LAN driver og klik 6/ Køre .exe-filen og følg instruktionerene på skærmen.
Nu tror man jo, at man har installeret en driver, men ak - her tricker IBM/Lenovo! Programmet, som man lige har kørt, har i virkeligheden kun overført nogle biblioteker og filer til ens C-drev i biblioteket Drivers. Gør nu følgende:
7/ Gå ned i Drivers -> WIN -> Ethernet -> APPS -> SETUP -> SETUPBD -> WIN98-WS32 og kør filen SETUPBD.EXE (hvor svært kan det være....!!) 8/ Dette gør, at driveren er installeret.
Jeg synes, det er en meget kryptisk metode, men samme metode kan anvendes på de øvrige drivere.
Iøvrigt kan jeg tilføje mht. det trådløse kort: i IBM T40 er det trådløse kort ustabilt og derfor kan det ikke betale sig, at der bruges tid på at installere det. Brug i stedet et eksternt PCMCIA kort, fx. ASUS AS-WL-107G - det installeres nemt, er billigt, fylder ikke ret meget og virker (fx. PRC Data)! En pudsig ting: sæt Windows til at styre den trådløse forbindelse, men gør det faktisk via ASUS menuen.
Først fra IBM T43 er de trådløse kort stabile.
