Men hvordan virker det..

der er et access fakture system som skal tage imod ordrene. skal access ligge på en server ligesom mysql eller er det bare access der følger med msoffice pakken som skal være \"online\" og tage imod fra en insert query???

The Access that comes with Office is a tool for working with an access database. When an Access database is on a WEB server the WEB program can use the Access database using for example ASP. But ASP must be supported by your web service provider. But thats also the cas ewith MySQL.

It is an Access database for example (MDB).
Why change from MySQL to Access?

It is a customer who has a invoice access db, they want to use it.

It has to be placed on a server which supports for example ASP.
Then you have to make a WEB application which can write the invoices to the Access database.
What have you used before with MySQL?

If I understand you correctly. The customer has an Access database he wants to have on the WEB where his customers can make orders. He also wants to be able to get at these orders from another program. If this OTHER program isnt a WEB application then I would think he will have to DOWNLOAD (copy) the Access database to his PC once in a while (each evening for example) and then take the orders from there. The problem is the same as it would be with PHP/mySQL. How do you get the data from mySQL to a PC program?

1. the customer goes to the website
2. they select the stuff they want
3. they push buy
4. the order goes to a database.
then what!!!
They have a local access db and a online db how do i sync.??

Do they use the local Access dB for anything?
If they can create orders in BOTH access databases then you have a problem!  There will more than likely  ID\'s in both databases which are the same, but this depemds on how the database is designed. So that is something you need to look at.

If the locall access databases is NOT used for anything then you dont need to Sync.
