Outlook Express

Er der nogen der kan hjælpe mig med at løse følgende problem..
Sakset fra microsoft, hvor en gut havde præcis samme problem :)


I have a serious problem with OE (Outlook Express) 6.

After I have installed OE 6, I can't access any of my e-mail account
messages.

When I start the Send/Receive procedure the following error happens
(translated from Hungarian):

Unknown error occured. Account: 'name of account', Server: 'name of server',
Protokoll: POP3, Port: 110, Safe (SSL): No, Error number: 0x800C013E

The pop account on server does work as I can reach it via Netscape Mail or
any other mail program (from the same computer).

.... and that's all. It seems for me that the procedure stops before starting
to download mails. I do not understand.

I have tried all sorts of internet accounts on different mail servers but
none worked.

Also tried to uninstall IE 6 and restore IE 5.5 with OE 5.5 but this did not
solve the problem. I think taht OE 6 may hae left some newer files behind.

I tried to search the MS support homepage ... without any success.

I am using Win2000 Pro.

Norton Antivirus 2002 is also installed but I have disabled e-mail
protection and the entire application but did not help. I have also turned
off all firewalls, gateways and similar apps but the problem still occures).
There are no viruses/trojans on the computer.

Please help me. It's very important!
