well, thanks a lot, but no matter if I use one or the other reference, I get the following error message:
3343 DAO.Workspace Unrecognized database format and then the path to the one I use, which is created in Access 2000.

May be I should also say that I run win2k without any servicepacks. Du you have any ideas?

Hvad er din connect på data-kontrollen? Den skal være Access 2000.

Cant see how you are making the connection but make sure you have only one reference either to DAO or ADO not both!

PS: der findes en SP5, du kan hente gratis. Ikke at det vil løse dit problem, det er bare til generel orientering;o)

Hi terry, really great, you earned it. I made one reference with ADO 2.6, and there was already one older reference of type ADO. When I removed that, everything worked fine. Thanks a lot.
