hi malm! Not quite sure what your problem is! IF I add an UNBOUND Object Frame to a form and then choose "Create From File" I can add a GIF picture.

Is thsi what you are doing?

It actually adds a "Microsoft Photo Editor 3.0 Photo" OLE Class. So if you choose this form the list then you should be able to get it to work.
If you add a BMP then you will get a "Paint" Class!

So I would think you will need to have Microsoft Photo Editor installed!

Hi Terry,

My customer want to be able to set a path for his Gif picture and then view it in Access without open another 3rd party product. If I drag & drop a Gif or I set the source property of the unbound object frame the Gif should be shown

Me.Image0.PictureType = 1 'Linked

Me.Image0.Picture = "F:\Some.gif"

Sorry for my absent Terry.

>Are you using drag and drop?
Copy that - Terry thats was the Idear. Haven't got time to test your suggestion about using Me.Image0.Picture = "F:\Some.gif" yet but if that works I could implement my own drag&drop.

The real issue here Terry is why drag'n'drops of Gif's doesn't work with the UNBOUND Object Frame control.

Take care,
Malm

Hi malm! I wasnt aware that drag and drop was something that was implemeneted in Access!
The way you write your question it sounds as though you CAN drag and drop OTHER document types but NOT gif.

Is this question closed now or what?

Hej Terry,

I am so sorry but I was wrong about the control. I used bound object frame not unbound.
