Access 2000 Runtime - fil mso9rt.dll

do you have Office Developer? If not then you can NOT make a runtime

Oh! you must have it ... (developerinstallationen). But WHO says you need that file? When you make a runtime set-up the Wizard copies the files you need and you shouldnt need to go looking for it!

>>> Terry: Right

"Locating the Access Run-Time
When you use the Package and Deployment Wizard to include the Access Run-Time in your application, a message prompts you to locate the Access Run-Time files.

The Access Run-Time is not installed to your machine as part of the Microsoft Office 2000 Developer setup. Instead, you can find it on the Microsoft Office 2000 Developer CD in the Access Runtime folder. To avoid having to use the CD each time you package the Access Run-Time, you can copy the necessary files to your machine.

To copy the Access Run-Time to your machine

On the Microsoft Office 2000 Developer CD, located in the Access Runtime folder.

Copy the contents of the Access Runtime folder to the following location on your machine:
..\Program Files\Microsoft Office\ODETools\V9\Runtime

When you try installing an Access application (runtime) and Access is alreday installed on the PC then the runtime DOES NOT get installed, the existing Access gets used instead in RUNTIME mode!

Tak for kommentarer! Jeg har anskaffet Microsoft Developer og jeg har kopieret runtimefilerne til ovennævnte bibliotek.

I bogen Mastering Microsoft Access 2000 Development står der (side 1183):

"If you want to simulate the runtime environment on the machine of a user who has Access installed, you must copy the file mso9rt.dll to the directory on the users machine called \program files\common\microsoft shared\vba\vb6."

terry -> Som jeg forstår ovennævnte, er det for at kunne køre runtime UANSET at Access allerede ligger på maskinen.

Well I dont have the book, but it does seem that what it is saying IS that the file must be copied to the PC.
I have made MANY applications where the runtime is used, some PC's have Access already and others do not. I make a setup kit with the setup wizard and this automatically takes the files needed from your PC and put them in the kit. This may include the file mentioned. When I install the application the Setup program SHOULD automatically copy the files needed to the PC. So, IF the mentioned file IS needed then it will (should) automatically get copied to the PC, and if not then it doesnt copy the file.

I am guessing that it has to be done if you want to do it manually though, but there is more than that fiel which needs to be copied!

Har måttet opgive at få runtime til at virke.
