Kan ikke lave mde-fil efter installation af Office developer

Whats the problem (error)?
Make sure that you can compile the program, if you cant then you need to find out why you cant.

Access must be able to compile all code and if it has problems with that then you must first correct these errors. If you cant find any errors then try importing all objects into a new dB. Also make sure you have no MISSING references

All of the program/database is working fine, and the problem is not at a single database. But the menuitem to create mde-files is 'gray' (not avaliable)

So no errors, but unable to use the menuitem.

sounds as though there is something wrong with the installation. Maybe a re-install would help?

create MDE is noy only available for the DEVELOPER Edition, so it should be available no matter what.

hmm, I wouldnt like to make a reinstall right now. I can make mde on another machine, if nessesary. If no one has better suggestions during the day, i will close the question.

I mean a re-install of Access not the whole PC! There may even be an option to repair the current installation.
Otherwise I cant see what else CAN be wrong.

Er du sikker på at den fil du vil lave en .MDE af er samme version som din Access ?

Hvis du kører Access XP kan du f.eks. ikke lave en .MDE fil af en Access 2000 db før den er konverteret.

Det var der katten lagde begravet. Som standard oprettes databaser som Access 2000 format i Office XP. Jeg har nu prøvet at konvertere til 2002 og nu kan jeg godt bruge punktet.

didnt think of that one Hugo, I think I'de better start using 2000/XP a little more. Lots of changes since 97 :o)
