æøå konvertering - libidn problemer

Hey

Har installeret libidn 0.34 og har problemet at æøå.dk burde give: xn--5cab8c.dk

men istedet sker følgende:

[root@localhost libidn]# echo 'æøå.dk' | /usr/local/bin/idn --idna-to-ascii 2>&1
libidn 0.3.4

Nogen der kan forklare hvorfor ovenstående output ikke er i overensstemmelse med det forventede?
