Assign a process limited memory?

Hello!

I taking a course with Oracle, a big fat database, and JDeveloper. I run this at a Windows 2000, 130Mb RAM.

When I start everything the database swollows a tremendus big part of the RAM. After that everything is so slow that I can take 1 and 2 cup of coffee during just switching between 2 files in JDeveloper.

So now is my question. Is there some way that I can assign a limited part of the RAM, so that my database is not allowed to use more than that. Hopefully the rest of the processes have a bit more space after that.

It doesn't seem that I can change the priority of the processes either. I am admin but when I try to change the priority it says that I do not have the rights.

So if any one could give me som solution to this it would be great!

Best regards
Fredrik

Just a little comment, it is JDeveloper that eats a tremandus amount of the RAM, not the database. And I can change the priority as well but the memory leak is still there.
