Logging into another server using ssh

Could it be that the host you try to connect to already exists in .ssh/known_hosts ?

Try "grep <IP> .ssh/known_hosts" where <IP> is the ipaddress of the host.

The message you get is simply a notification that the host does NOT exist in .ssh/know_hosts, and if you say "YES" to continue then an entry will be created in the file, and it will be used for verification the next time you connect to the host.

Just answer yes to the question and connect.
