MultiBoot, winnt, winxp, win2000

I have a biggo harddisko about 38 giga.
I thought I would like to have winnt, winxp and 2000 in the same boox so I started to make questions here and I got adviced to do following.

-Make several partitions for each of the os you want to install.
-Make the first 2 giga and install Winnt.
-Install the rest of the os
-The End.

What happened.
- I made a 2 giga partition fat and there I installed Winnt. After that I installed Windows Xp and the boot went ok, I could pick either of them.
Then I installed Windows 2000, the install went perfect, but at boot now I get this error ONLY WHEN I WANT TO START WINXP. Winnt and win2000 boot ok.

Notice please that Winnt and Winxp were successfully installed and that I could boot from both without problem. After Installing Windows 2000 I got this problem. And remember the problem is only with windows XP, Windows 2000 and Winnt can now boot nice but When I start XP I get this error:

*****************'
Windows 2000 could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEMd startup options for Windows 2000, press F8.

You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows 2000 Setup using the original Setup floppy disk or CD-ROM. Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair.

*****************

Why do I get this errors about Windows 2000 when it is XP I want to start?
Is there any way out if this?

Rgds
Carnudo.

I would install nt then 2000 and last xp. I think the problem is hwen you install W2K last, W2K can't handle XP becourse XP is the latest OS.

You might be able to fix it, simply by repairing your windows xp. Boot on the windows xp cdrom, and choose repair. When it asks what to repair, choose boot and startup files.

I think you both might be correct, I have booted to dos, from there went to the xp cd and started the Repair, I got asked for the admin password and now I am in F:\Windows, I can do dir and see a bunch of files. I have really no idea what to do.
Please advice.

You could try the advise tonnybrandt gave you. Boot on the XP-cd and do a repair. Can't that fix it, i think you have to start from the beginning with installing NT-W2K-XP in that order.

1. you should have installed XP after NT and 2k

2. boot from the XP cd.
choose to repair the installation through the recovery console
execute the commands:
Fixboot
Fixmbr

that should do it
