Underformular videre til UltraDev????

Terry (or someone else as cunning) >> You helped me with a SubFormular once, and it works like charm. Now my problem is that I have to do it allllll again in Ultradev (Have skipped MX cause it does straaaange things to applications)
I don't even know if you know Ultradev but thought I'd try anyway. How do I solve a subformular problem in my ASP site??

Sorry, dont know Ultradev, in fact I dont know much about web programming at all. But I am reasonably sure that you cant make sub forms no matter what web development tool you use. So it will have to be done the hard way :o(
You can build your web page up so that it looks like a main form/sub form but they are not LINKED together lik e they are in Access. So when you move between records on the main form YOU have to get the records to display on the "sub" form

Actually you can make something, which looks and acts like subforms.

Take a look at this forum for instance :o)

DAMMIT! I have no clue how to make it...I'm making an insert page for a product catalogue...each product get an autonumbered ProductID from the database...then you fill in your Product name, description, part number etc. etc. then at the bottom of the page you must fill in which Line the product belongs to. The problem is one product can be in more than one line so there's a different table for the relation between the Lines and the Products...when you fill in which Lines the product is in it puts the LineID and the ProductID in a table....so it needs the productID from the top of the page BUT you haven't submitted it into the database yet...phew!! did you get any of that?? I've sorta solved it by make a popupwindow where you decide the Lines and on this page I've made a Product recordset that sorts descending so that it takes the last ProductID which is enterred...this works, I think...BUT! in the event that two users submit a product at the exact same time it fucks up EVERYTHING!!
