Mvh.

If you are going to use the database from ASP then really all you the help you need concerning Access is the actual database (tables/queries).

Make a note of ALL of the information you want to be able to see in the finished ASP application and then from this information start designing the dababase. It is VERY important that you make your database BEFORE you make the ASP application.
If you have no knowledge as to how to design the database then this link may help.

Yep the help i need is how to structure the database.

Right now i have around 25.000 files, that needs to be added, and around a 1000 new ones, a month (maybe more).

Which info i need, ive allready found out. I need to save the dvdnumber (which dvd its stored on), the ordernumber the file is under (so i can find it via our existing orderdatabase), the path to the file and the filename.

But - ive heard that access doesnt handle tables, with more than 10.000 entries, very good?

Thanks for the link - im sure it will expand my acces-knowledge. Until now, ive allways kept most information in only af few tables and linked them together via a number. Ex. Client-number was added in the order-entry, so that when i searched on a client, all the orders with that client-number, shows up. Maybe i should look a little more at that linking tables together, part :)

10.000 records in Access is NO PROBLEM, just make sure that you have indexes on the fields which will be used for finding records.
Access is not limited to the number of records but to the size of the database (2GB).

You should like at the section on "Normalisering af en database" in the link I gave. Actually it doesnt sound as though you need more than a few tables, but without more information it isnt easy for me to say.

If 10.000 records isnt a problem, then im ready to go on making it :)

Thanks for the help - i will look that "Normalisering af en database" up on  that webpage, before i'll start building the database + coding the frontend :)
