Genstarte/english

I don't really know what category to put this under, but here it is:

My computer works fine until I go into IE5 or on the Network. Suddenly the screen wil go black and it will restart itself without having been told to.

Does anyone know how to eliminate this nagging problem.

Otherwise computer OK. I have upgraded the BIOS.

Have you tried to reinstall your network card?
Did it work before or has it never worked?

Hi Patricco,

It is likely your network installation under Control Panel which is wrong. Remove all adaptors from the list, restart the pc and add those you need. Remember to set the TCP/IP correctly. No DHCP if you are connecting to the internet using a modem.

However, I could also be the installation of EI5, which is not always installed correctly. Try removing it and re-install it again.

NB! If you are running NT remebmer to re-apply the latest servicepacks when you change configuration settings. In general you should always re-apply the servicepacks, if any of the installations you perform at some point ask for, and install files from, the original WINNT cd.
