Linux install that might gone bad

Hello Guys!

I got an old HP Compaq 6910p that I guess used to have a harddrive with approx 160 GB storage.  (https://www.cnet.com/products/hp-compaq-6910p/specs/)

Yesterday I aborted a linux install alongside my Win XP installation since I was uncertain if I did it correctly. I aborted at the stage "Something else" and saw that I got:
sd (probably the suggested location of the new linux)
sd1 probably pointed at my C: (win xp)
sd2 probably D: (win xp recovery).

But sd1 and sd2 seems to occupy all the space of the harddrive, so I think I need set the sizes in some way.

My intention was that I would install a linux OS that would have some space for some applications like Eclipse, Android Studio and some other apps but also could access files from my C:

However when I now look at the properties of C: it is just 50 GB occupied and 50 GB of free

Have I in somehow removed 60 GB, that I a will never get back?

Or could I try to install linux again and it will occupy space at sd, but not all of the space that is left? I still need to save files in C: from win XP and files at the linux file system from apps in linux.

Best regards
Fredrik

If you stil have the Linux Live CD/DVD.
Boot comp with the CD/DVD and start the test mode ..............no install
Find the program " gparted " or any other patition program and change the active partition to XP partition

Hello guys!
My bad. Looks that I missed to look at the properties of the acctually harddrive itself. I just found som spec that said 160 Gb.
It looks like my harddrive acctually just got 120 Gb.
There seems to be no mystery after all.
Thanks for all help.
Best regards
Fredrik
