Report not exporting since update from VS 2002 to 2003

I have developed a web application that uses crystal for generating reports. It was developed using vs.net 2002 and .net framework 1.0. The reports that the users see are exported to Excel documents with the crystal export function. Everything worked fine until the server was updated to .net framework 1.1. Then the export function did not work and the Excel files were not generated, funny thing is that there is no error or exception thrown at all.

I tried to do a lot of things in vs.net 2003, i tried creating new basic reports and the funny thing is that they export fine, but with my old reports (no subreports or alike) nothing is exported.

Can anyone give me an idea of what the reason is that nothing gets exported?
