How detect error in a tp-cable without network equipment?
Hello guys!(I'm writing in english since my danish is poor, I'm from Sweden)
I'm some type of a technical responsible at the school where my kids go to. It is a non profitable school.
How ever, they have some poor installed network. We have now notice that a network (cat 5 tp rj45) socket do not work.
We are not sure where the other end of this cable is, but we got a couple to choose from. So problem 1, how to detect correct cable, problem 2, how to detect if the cable is some part boken. (hopefully it is not completly boken)
Since we do not got any network equipment, is there a way to error search this situation with two laptops?
