Hej jeg har lavet en oversættelse, og ville blive meget glad hvis jeg kunne få den rettet. På forhånd tusind tak.
På Dansk: Næste dag lukker heksen Hans inde i et bur og tvinger Grethe til at arbejde hårdt. Stakkels Grethe vasker, skrubber og gør rent hele dagen. Hun er ulykkelig og græder fordi hun ikke kan hjælpe sin bror, som må blive i buret indtil han er fed nok. Så vil heksen æde ham. Hver dag kommer den gamle heks hen til buret og siger til Hans at han skal stikke fingeren ud så hun kan mærke om han er tyk nok. Men Hans stikker et kyllingeben ud, og heksen, hvis syn er meget dårligt, tror det er hans finger og undrer sig over at han ikke bliver tykkere. Efter nogle uger taber heksen tålmodigheden. Hun kan ikke vente længere. En morgen beder hun Grethe tænde op og hente noget vand. Så siger hun til Grethe at hun skal varme den store ovn op så de kan bage nogle kager. Heksen, som er meget sulten, har til hensigt at spise begge børn. Hun vil koge Hans i den store gryde og bage Grethe i ovnen. Da ovnen er rødglødende, skubber heksen Grethe hen til den og siger til hende at hun skal krybe ind i den for at se om den er varm nok.

But Hans stick a chicken leg out, and the witch, whose eyesight is very bad, think that it is his finger and wonder why he has not get fat yet. After some weeks lose the witch hers patience. She can’t wait anymore. A morning she asks Grethe to light the fire and gets some water. So she says to Grethe that she shut heat the big oven up so the can bake some cookies. The witch is very hungry. She intends to eat the children. She wants to boil Hans in the big pot and bake Grethe in the oven. When the oven is red-hot, the witch pushes Grethe over to it and says to her that she shut huddle in to it to se about is warm enough.

When the oven is red-hot, the witch pushes Grethe over to the oven and them makes her enter it to see wheter its hot enough or not.

"locks up in a cage" 'up' er unødvendig her, og med en ordet 'in' lige bagefter er det bedst at udelade 'up' så de to ord sammen ikke giver associatoner om et bur højt oppe.
Det bliver lidt sværere af at den danke tekst ikke er helt smukt dansk. Det er vist skrevet af en pige på 11-14 år. Se fx sætningen "Then the witch will eat him." Det er fristende at ændre den til "When he is the witch will eat him.", men præcis den samme usikkerhed finder vi i den danske sætning "Så vil heksen æde ham." der lyder mere somom hun pludselig beslutter at det vil hun end som en konklusion på 'betingelsen' i sætningen foran.
et brændefyret komrur fyrer man op i (light) et elkomfur tænder man for (turn on). Jeg mener ikke heksen havde el i hytten.
'talk into' betyder at overtale 'tell to' er en ordre
it's, don't, can't osv er talesprog. På skrift bør du næsten altid skrive de ord der er blevet trukket samme.
